I took responsibility and within one month worked with the consultant to<br> approve three months of payments totaling approximately 4.5 million dollars (no slack in requirements was<br> provided). The challenge of this accomplishment was due to the necessity of providing the labor and cost<br> resources required to duplicate the pay estimate requisition that was in question for the month requested. In<br> essence, the schedule s cost resources provided in the baseline schedule (EV) was the determinant factor<br> estimating the amount of payment due on that month s requisition.<br> <span style='font-family:Symbol;mso-ascii-font-family:"Courier New"; mso-hansi-font-family:"Courier New";mso-char-type:symbol;mso-symbol-font-family: Symbol'><span style='mso-char-type:symbol;mso-symbol-font-family:Symbol'>¨</span></span> On a site visit with the superintendent, I was able to visually determine that long pre-cast construction beams for<br> the Cargo Road Bridge seemed to have a directional flow and curvature elevations that were inconsistent with<br> expected design due to the forces expected of a traveling vehicle. The drawings indicated that the elevations<br> were correct based on the drawing; however, it was determined after an RFI that the<br> Engineer of Record had made an error and reversed the design when transposing the information. Although the<br> error did not significantly affect the completion of the bridge, I did show that my visual understanding of the<br> contract drawings was able to detect a fault not previously recognized.<br> Ajax Building Corporation<br> <span style='font-family:Symbol;mso-ascii-font-family:"Courier New"; mso-hansi-font-family:"Courier New";mso-char-type:symbol;mso-symbol-font-family: Symbol'><span style='mso-char-type:symbol;mso-symbol-font-family:Symbol'>¨</span></span> Created the project baseline schedule for East Ridge High School using Primavera Suretrak scheduling software.<br> The schedule required over 1500 activities and was broken down in areas, phases, and responsibilities. The<br> upkeep of the schedule was detrimental to the continuing progress and the eventual early final completion of the<br> project. In reviewing the<br> project files, I found that an electrical sub had been paid on two separate CO s twice for the same work. This<br> amounted to $50,000.00 that was recoverable by Ajax.
